John Sowell, M.D.
John Sowell, M.D. is a Huntsville native who attended Grissom High School and Birmingham-Southern College as a McWane Scholar before being awarded early entrance into medical school after his junior year. He went on to graduate cum laude from the University of Alabama School of Medicine receiving AOA (Alpha Omega Alpha Honorary) distinction and continued his education at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences where he completed his Transitional Internship and a Residency in Dermatology. Dr. Sowell is licensed to practice medicine by the State of Alabama, is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He is also a clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Alabama – Birmingham School of Medicine. Dr. Sowell is not only passionate about what he does, but how he does it. His dedication to his practice extends far beyond the walls of the Advanced Dermatology clinic.
Lon Raby, M.D.
Lon Raby, M.D. is a Tennessee native from the Nashville area. He completed his undergraduate work at David Lipscomb University in Nashville and continued his education at The University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis. He completed two years of Internal Medicine training followed by a three-year Residency in Dermatology while at UTCHS-Memphis. Dr. Raby is licensed to practice Medicine in the State of Alabama. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Patricia L. Wilson, M.D.
Patricia L. Wilson, M.D. is a Kentucky native and a graduate of the University of Kentucky. She attended the Marshall University School of Medicine where she graduated magna cum laude and received national AOA (Alpha Omega Alpha Honorary) distinction. She continued her training at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences completing her Internship in Internal Medicine and a Residency in Dermatology. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Wilson is a volunteer Faculty Member at UAB Medical School in Huntsville, and also volunteers with the UAB-Huntsville Family Medicine and Internal Medicine Residency Programs.
Kelly M. Durham, PA-C
Kelly Durham was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Auburn University in Biomedical Science with a Business Minor in 2003. She then graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in the Physician Assistant program in 2005, where she then worked as a Physician Assistant in surgery. Kelly moved to Huntsville in 2009 when she joined Advanced Dermatology. She is board certified by the American Association of Physician Assistants, licensed to practice by the state of Alabama and is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and Alabama Society of Physician Assistants.
Brittny White, PA-C
Brittny White is a native of Florence, Alabama. She graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry and Spanish in 2009. She continued her education at UAB, acquiring a Master of Science in Marine Biology in 2011 and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies in 2016. She is board certified by the American Association of Physician Assistants and licensed to practice by the state of Alabama. She is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the Alabama Society of Dermatology Professionals.
